Naples, Florida: What You Can’t Skip

Naples, Florida is a magical place where the sun shines bright and the restaurants and shopping are divine. On my last trip to this sweet seaside city, I found a few shops, dining experiences, and activities that you will not want to miss.

The Turtle Club

This beachfront spot is located at Vanderbilt Beach Resort, which was there before all the high rises on Vanderbilt Beach. It was the first hotel to reside on this strip of powdery sand and turquoise water. The ambience is lovely and our food was fantastic. There is also a wide range of tropical drinks.

Image: Ritz Carlton

Located at the Ritz Carlton, Naples, this Italian restaurant delighted our whole dining party. The extensive menu had many salads, pizzas, and pasta dishes. There was also a buffet set up just for kids, with lots of kid-friendly meals and desserts. It’s worth a visit just so you can wander the Ritz after and admire its exquisiteness.

If you’re looking for an amazing breakfast, look no further than Skillets. This restaurant has several locations across Naples, and the largest breakfast menu I’ve ever seen. No matter what you order, it’s sure to be scrumptious. The chocolate chip pancakes can’t be missed…they’re the size of a whole plate!

The Naples Zoo

The Naples Zoo is a small but great zoo with a variety of different animals. One of the highlights is feeding the giraffes, and the proceeds go to building the giraffes a new, larger enclosure. The monkey boat tour also can’t be missed! It’s so fun and the monkeys are really playful.

Miromar Outlets

The Miromar Outlets are the prettiest outlets I’ve ever seen. Filled with statues and fountains, the experience of shopping there is almost as good as the stores themselves. If you’re looking to score some great deals, visit the Miromar Outlets for sure.

Downtown Naples

Downtown Naples is charming and adorable, with its colorful facades, twinkle lights, and fabulous restaurants. The shopping is fantastic as well. The shops include Island Company, Tommy Bahama, Naples Soap Company, and more. 3rd Street and Fifth Ave are two of the best streets for shopping in downtown Naples.

That wraps up my Naples guide! Naples is a beautiful place and if you’ve never been, I highly suggest making a trip. Or if you’re a regular visitor, it may be time to pay another visit!
